Transformation, A.D.

My mother always told me that a “good education” would solve all my problems and needs. It was my Senior year in college and I knew a good education was not going to solve all my problems. As I had proceeded through college I had begun to ask myself, “what is life?” A classmate in my student teaching class gave me a booklet in which I read that Christ as the last Adam became the life-giving Spirit (1 Corinthians 15:45b) and that answered my question. Christ is life. The booklet also said that according to the Bible (Romans 10:13), “The Lord is rich to all who call on His name.” I called on the name of the Lord that day and said: “Lord Jesus come into me.” On November 6, 1979 I was born of God. I became a Christian and have been meeting with the local churches since that day. I was baptized on January 19, 1980, and through the ministries of Witness Lee and Watchman Nee, I am knowing and loving God more and more each day.

One item of the ministry of Witness Lee is the matter of transformation. In my philosophy classes in college, I was very impressed with that word--transformation. I never got any help on my personal transformation from all those philosophy classes or books. Through the ministry of Witness Lee I have learned and experienced that transformation is the addition of the divine life of Christ into the parts of my soul, that is, my mind, emotion, and will. The more I open my being to the Lord Jesus while reading the Bible the more transformation I experience day by day. I realize it will take my whole lifetime to be conformed to the image of Christ (Romans 8:29) but I am grateful to Witness Lee and Watchman Nee for allowing me to see and experience transformation as described in the Bible.
